Generating user generated content

I’m excited. The Big Client brainstorm is turning into a peach of a project.

The big idea is that people in this very big organisation have all kinds of experience, good and bad, on the frontline with clients. And those stories are – at best – shared within their immediate team but no further. Which seems like a cryin’ shame.

Wouldn’t it be great to create a channel where you can search out valuable experience and share, discuss, rate, tag and subscribe to it? And a process to source experience. And a way to manage risk (they’re a very risk-averse bunch) without stifling the flow. Well, that’s what we’re working on.

First, we’re going to get a bunch of employees in the room and explore how they’d feel about doing it, whether they’d use it, what the benefits could be. Social media toys, cultural insight and actual business benefit. Like, wow.
